about

Buffalo Fuzz Country Collective is excited to announce the release of a 3-song EP called "The Flame Project". All proceeds of the digital downloads benefit NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). You may donate as much as you wish ($1 or more per song). Sharing this project is also a great way to support the cause.

We lost our dear friend and drummer Jake Allan to suicide June 26th 2018. This project was started to create a positive contribution, helping others in need of support for their mental health journeys. We also want to end the stigmas associated with mental illness by opening the dialogue.

“NAMI is the nation's largest grassroots organization for people with mental illness and their families. Founded in 1979, NAMI has affiliates in every state and in more than 900 local communities across the country. NAMI recognizes that the key concepts of recovery, resiliency and support are essential to improving the wellness and quality of life of all persons affected by mental illness. NAMI members and friends work to fulfill our mission by providing support, education, and advocacy. Our many activities include: public education and information activities, peer education and support, raising awareness and fighting stigma, and state and federal advocacy.” They have a 4 of 4 star CharityNavigator.org rating.

“The Flame” was written in memory of Jake Allan Tousignant, and we look forward to building positive change with this project in Jake’s honor. We greatly appreciate your support in sharing this cause.

Track Name: These Lonely Nights
Every day starts off the same way
It takes three cups of coffee just to get my bed made
Always wrong, but I’ll make it, alright
Then I won’t be alone one of these nights

Go to work, makin’ twice what I’m worth
Fourteen and fifty and fighting the urge
To tell ‘em all that I’m not on their side
Then I won’t be alone one of these nights

These nights, these lonely nights
I send a wish to all the stars in the sky
All I need is to rest these eyes
I can’t take one more of these lonely nights

Headed home, my hunger has grown
Call a piece of the pie just to pick up the phone
If I can learn to make up my mind
Then I won’t be alone one of these nights

These nights, these lonely nights
I send a wish to all the stars in the sky
All I need is to rest these eyes
I can’t take one more of these lonely nights

My spirit’s been broken
Since the first word was spoken
I’m waiting here still
To awaken the will
To live in the light

Lord I pray you change my old way
Just give me the patience just to get through these days
In the dark, I press my hands tight
That I won’t be alone one of these nights

These nights, these lonely nights
I send a wish to all the stars in the sky
All I need is to rest these eyes
I can’t take one more of these lonely nights
Track Name: All The Way Home
The highway livin’s fine enough for me
Made a life of being all alone
Gone from town to town to find belief
Haven’t found the one to call my own

Now my eyes are fallin’
And my pillows callin’
All my windows down and the radio up

I’ll keep on driving ‘til I’m dead
Take me all the way, all the way home
Country road song stuck in my head
Take me all the way, all the way home

Reaching for my next hit of caffeine
Just to find I drank it all away
I’d rather run right out of gasoline
The lord is due to call me any day

Now my eyes are fallin’
And my pillows callin’
All my windows down and the radio up

I’ll keep on driving ‘til I’m dead
Take me all the way, all the way home
Country road song stuck in my head
Take me all the way, all the way home

Now the needle’s tired from telling of my speed
A Left lane bullet going nowhere fast
If tears were blood, I’ve nothing left to bleed
So I’m fleeing to the future from the past

Now who will see me through the night
Now who will keep me ‘til the light
Now who will hear the songs I write
Now who, now who

Now my eyes are fallin’
And my pillows callin’
All my windows down and the radio up

I’ll keep on driving ‘til I’m dead
Take me all the way, all the way home
Country road song stuck in my head
Take me all the way, all the way home
Track Name: The Flame
I can’t say I’d miss you if I left you here today
Don’t know where I’m headed, but I know that I can’t stay

The night is only as dark as you make it
You’ll be stronger alone I know you can take it
God didn’t give me a guiding light
I had to learn to fake it

Now I’m giving into the night
Without a glimmer left to glow on
Cuz the flame burnin’ twice as bright
Burns half as long

Time won’t let me say goodbye if it frees me from this place
I know you would not let me try to leave without a trace

The night is only as dark as you make it
You’ll be stronger alone I know you can take it
God didn’t give me a guiding light
I had to learn to fake it

Now I’m giving into the night
Without a glimmer left to glow on
Cuz the flame burnin’ twice as bright
Burns half as long

My candle’s cold, it’s finally burned out for the final time
I’ve found my peace, bittersweet release, oh remember how it shined

The night is only as dark as you make it
You’ll be stronger alone I know you can take it
God didn’t give me a guiding light
I had to learn to fake it

Now I’m giving into the night
Without a glimmer left to glow on
Cuz the flame burnin’ twice as bright
Burns half as long
